Just curious on when all the auto guys are planning to head out to the track this year. I need some inspiration to finish my car, as I am literally dumping every spare penny into it, and i'm becoming very discuraged. Also, has anyone built a new car or improved their setups?

i'm in the same boat with ya.

brad brooks has my motor currently 2.3l, turbo will be at the house today from FP dsmhta88, 2G gsx is still over at buddies house finishing up paint work.:D

I ran 14.4, stock fuel system, 14psi. of boost, street tires, 3000rpm launch, 60ft 2.2 evo3 16g ported, turbo back exhaust and upgraded ic system. Mods.since then, forced performance race manifold, ipt 4k stall converter, ipt performance rebuild kit with upgraded front end clutch kit, shift kit, red spring, upgraded cooler. 850cc injectors, walbro 190, dsm link v2, AEM UGEO wideband, devils own meth injection, car will be tuned at 22psi and i will be running slicks, i am trying for 12.5-12.9 in the 1/4 mile but will see what happens.

Well It's that time of year again and the tracks are opening up!

NEW FOR 2009! (or should we start a new thread?)

GDNF2ET and I took his car to the track this weekend.

YouTube - Tracy's AWD Auto Daily Driver Talon

Best time of the day was 11.60, best mph was 118mph.

Race weight was 3350ish lbs. Run was made with the car in "D" on the chipped TCU :D

Pretty happy with the times considering first outting of the year. The track wasn't prepped too great and the stock springs and old tires were not helping. Couldn't get the car to hook up well and we were stuck in the 1.7s with 60 foots. Going to swap out the 264s for some 272s and get some better tires and suspension on this thing, hoping that can get some extra mph and improve the 60 foot enough to get it into the 11.3-11.4s solidly. We also suspect something is up with the converter, and plan on addressing that this season as well. I expect we'll get this car into the 10s by the end of the season without race gas, nitrous, or weight reduction. Not bad for a daily driver :)

Very nice!!!

I vote for a new thread.:thumb:

14.9 at 92 with 3"turbo back exhaust and 14pounds bleeding to 11-12ish(dam t25 wastegate) that was two weeks after englishtown opened.....maybe some trans mods and a fp performance t25 actuator will help it :sneaky:

Dave ( HighPSI TSI Guy) of Foreignmuscle can get you on the right track, he's the reason my car is running 11.60s now..If your actuator is bad, I would get a used one..No need to put a $50 actuator on it when that money could go toward a used Evo 16g...Just a thought..

thanks yea me and him are talking in pm's...he is VERY VERY helpful

I noticed on foreign's site they have trans rebuilds at a reasonable price. Anybody run one of theirs? Mines not dead yet but its only a matter of time. I might have to tow the car to them when its time for a tune or trans.
