I know there are other times lists but none give me/us info or even the turbo on the cars......... this one we could do times and turbo like www.dsmtimes.org does

[email protected] last yr with a B16g at 18psi, stock SMIC, 450 injectors, Stock trans and torque converter. I brake boosted the car but only left the line at 3psi. Hopefully this Mitsubishi day at E-town I'll do much better with my new mods.

STOCK block, STOCK head ,STOCK tranny ,no clutches just a welded diff and IPT's push button shifter. Auto's are the shizt!
 
I just picked up a 97 GSX A/T, took it too the track last night and ran a 16.1 :cry: My 91 TSi 5 Speed does 1.9 60 fts and my auto felt like it was lifeless compared to that. I was beat by an Acura Integra in front of all those people.... LOL But seriously, I'm not familiar with 2G's now, A/T's I'm just stupid. How do I get good 60ft's back with an auto? I see you guys doin 2.0's, How do you do it? Also, is a turbo swap a MUST with this car? Throw me a bone guys, I wanna represent DSM's the best I can when I'm at the track :thumb:
 
my car ran a 14.6 with just and intake, and cat-back- now i got so much mor into so looking for mid 13s when i go to the track this weekend

could you guys post your mods?
i have not yet taken mine to the track as we just finished rebuilding the tranny.
mods list: t3/t4 50 trim, 3" all the way back, atmosphere wastegate dump, 35mm tial, greddy type s bov, walbro 255 fp, 750 injectors, 4" turbonetics intake, a/f pressure regulator, avc-r, s-afc, huge front mount, 3000 rpm stall torque converter, shift kit, ported/polished exhaust manifold and i think that is about it... hoping to run in the 12s somewhere
 
I wouldnt get your hopes up just yet about running 12s with that. An Auto FWD isnt the best platform to play with. I know a guy with similar mods as you. 50 trim,afc,550s,greddy FMIC. Best run he did was like a 14.5. The 3000rpm stall will help big though. If its your first time out at the track dont feel down if you run like a 15 that shit just happens. With your mods and a few runs I see you hitting high 13s. But you never know, you might have one of those magic dsms and probably prove me wrong and run 12s! good luck ethier way.

What???, with his setup he will be easy in the 12 seconds for sure (Talking bout 98GST setup)

Look at my setup and im in the low 12's with only these mods. Not a one pass wonder, my pass are always in the 12.4-12.6. Should be able to get low 12 with higher boost (25psi).


So 98GST , don't worry you will be very fast with all the mods you got there, and good thing you got a freshly rebuilt tranny :thumb:
 
I ran a 14.2@102 with a B16g@18psi, wally 190, stock injectors, stock trans, intake, full 2.5" turbo-back, MBC, & S-AFC.
I went back to the track after I had my race head, 272 cams, external wastegate, DSMLink, & IPT trans to not make one full pass. Shortly after my fiance overheated the car and blew the HG....

1 You have a bigger stall converter than he does.

2 You have a 6bolt

3 1gs put down faster times with weight/6bolt whatever.'

4 I dont think hes going to run 25psi on his stock motor.

5 If you cant run over 20psi on a 50trim. Your definitley better off with a 16g running a better time. From what I have seen of course.

What we are doing is bench racing. Run the car and then tell us if you went in the 12s or not. Just because someone runs 12s in a "similar setup" doesnt mean you will run the same. Go test it post a slip and get back to us.
 
hopefully i will make it to the track next week. the shift linkage is all messed up so reverse really isnt there, drive is in neutral, neutral is in reverse, reverse is really close to park etc... i need to figure out how to fix this shiznit
