automatic to manual swap

I have a 95 eclipse gst manual, but I need a new shell. I might pick up a 95 talon tsi automatic, I was wondering if I can just legit swap everything over. Just pull out both trannys and swap each other. Or is there other stuff I need?

i have done this on a 1g its a pain in the ass the clutch and brake peddle need changed and the master cylinder and stuff it can be done and i think you will have by pass the neutral safety switch but it can be done with a lot of patience

If you have the trans out it's not hard at all. The hardest part is swapping the pedals , which entails removing the steering column. There should be a write up on it at vfaq.
