Well i dont know where this belongs, I'm not very schooled in auto transmissions, but every time i shift into any gear selection it like slams in you can hear/feel it. It also feels like its slipping when I take off, seems like its having trouble switching gears.

Thanx

Brandon

well bro slipping could be a couple of things. Could be torque converter, could be low on fluid, could be tranny. The clunking could be coming from broken or bad motor mounts. Especially the front one in an automatic. They are much bigger then the manual so in replacing make sure you get the right ones.

low or incorrect type of fluid.....use atf+3 ONLY....and follow the weird procedure in the owners manual for checking the fluid level, this is a must!!!.....i've burnt one up before by not going exactly by the book on checking fluid level and it acted exactly like you describe... :dsm:

my tranny did that since the day a got it , then one day it just decided not to go in gear at all , because of warrenty , i got a new trans free , with all mounts replaced , and this was recently , and it stills slams into gear , i thought it was just the the way the were built, no slipping at all and i check the fluid regularly , and no problems
