For 1Gs, there are several differences between manual and auto cars of the same year, aside from (duh) the transmission.
Auto 1G cars have
- smaller turbochargers
- smaller injectors (390cc)
- a 'power/economy' switch located next to the shift lever
- ECUs designed for the smaller injectors
- cams designed to produce more low-end torque [1G only]
Manual 1G cars have:
- bigger turbochargers
- larger injectors (450cc)
- a nifty little coin holder next to the shift lever, a fave place to put electronic widgets of one sort or another.
- ECUs designed for the larger injectors
- ECUs designed to produce less low-end torque [1G only]
2G owners rejoice, as their auto and manual cars have identical engines - assuming, of course, you are comparing apples to apples. Aside from the presence/absence of the 'power/economy' switch, there are no other obvious differences. There still may be additional differences for both 1G and 2G cars.

Thanks

awd swap, $750-$1800 Ive searched threw, if you go all old parts from used cars from a yard and such, yeah your going to do it cheap, only parts i would't go cheap on would be the master cyl, clutch and flywheel, well maybe the flywheel and have it checked over and such, but yeah, it can be done, just finding the parts is like going out front of your house and finding $100 bill on the sidewalk.
. The only thing that may stop you is the master to slave line. I did some research and found 3/8-24 to -4AN adapters at Summit racing, along with -4AN line for a lot cheaper than buying aftermarket.
Why buy all those adapters and line? All you need is a 60" brake line from autozone. Its $5 and you can bend it any way you want.
