Hey, I have a 97 eclipse gst auto but im looking to swap it to standard where should i start.??

You should start with the search feature. I'm not trying to be a d*** but there is a ridiculous amount of info out there for our cars. 90% of problems have been answered at one time or another. Go to resources and start scrolling. By the end of the day, you're gonna wish you never jumped into the DSM world :D

I did an AWD auto to manual swap and I would imagine what you are trying to do is much easier. Foremost; search. 2nd, allocate parts. You are going to need a F33M5 transmission, a complete manual shifter assembly with cables, and the appropriate drive axles (probably just the driver's side), and possibly the trans mount. Not sure if the trans cradles are the same so you should look into that. As far as the electronics go, you will need to rewire the starting circuit using either the P or N wires from the shift fan, rewire the reverse switch circuit, and the clutch safety switch circuit (the connector should be wrapped and neatly tucked above the relay box under the dash above where the clutch will mount) you will need to reconfigure the starter relay circuit as well.
