2G Auto gear selector

So I just got back in to dsm after about 6 years. I got a complete running motor and auto trans from a 95 that was a buddies back up rally motor that never got used. Picked up a 97 gst shell that was a 5spd. The motor and trans came with the mounts needed to put it in the 5spd shell. I'm looking at getting the gear selector and cable. I'm assuming the cable is different from turbo to non, but what about the actual gear selector in the car? They look the same from the top side, but I havent gotten to dig into looking at the non turbo. I can get a gs shift assembly cheap local and if it will work ill grab it. Any help would be appreciated as I couldn't find it searching.

Not so sure what your asking.. 5 speed transmissions have two cables from the gear selector vs an Auto only has 1 to the transmission. The other cable in an auto is the shift-lock to the ignition and brake.

Turbo or non-Turbo doesn't matter since this is for the trans. The only thing your running into is differences in how the transmission is operated between a 5 speed and auto.
