Nice, I sandblasted and painted some engine parts a nice wrinkle black as I wait for the rest of the parts to come in for the head gasket swap.

On a side note my garage still smells like ass from them damn bolts....

Still got you're EvoIII? Colbyc

Unfortunately not, that was part of the hx deal :/ I'm sure I was close to breaking into the 11's with that little thing. Going to miss it.

hmm I might have to try and squeeze this 70 trim on here... nah still need more fuel first....

Yeah I'm sure your fuel system is hating you as is :)

I talked to the guy, it was humorous to say the least. It ran high 10s in Orlando, so he says.

If he would give me a good deal of boot, I'd trade him my bike

Son of a B****.....I need to get this damn car back together because each night that I can't work on it I end up sitting on tuners and finding additional things to do while the car is apart. I decided to go ahead and do the balance shaft delete, I originally was going to keep the balance shaft since the engine is still in the car but I believe that instead I am going to replace the rear plug with the stubby and leave the front shaft in place, simply disconnected from the belt.

I decided to sandblast all of the engine components I have ripped off the car and repaint them to clean things up. The head will be getting milled and hottanked after my porting. I am doing the oil port #2 mod on the block....and the list goes on and on....thank god my wife hasn't found my build spreadsheet.....

Being a perfectionist owning a DSM is expensive and time consuming LOL....

Amen to that. After watching all of jefromobiles videos on the head again. I think I'm going through the entire head.

The cast flashing on the inside of my head is horrible. I was able to pull parts off with just my fingers.

I agree, I started that on mine as well. I also cleaned up casting marks on my intake, VC, elbow, etc......once it starts it is hard to stop. Especially when you are waiting for parts to arrive and want to work on something.....

I will probably smooth out most of the exterior casting as well. Mainly because its a slow build do to funding. May as well be working on something while I'm saving up extra play money.

Will go towards a possible goal of making a few car shows a year with it when complete.

I'm glad to see your going with the black wrinkle paint as well. I like how it gives a clean OEM look. I am really thinking about doing that as well.

The VHT is a nice product, the wife wouldn't let me bake in the oven so I used a space heater and a lamp. The can says to bake in an oven but the website says that the slow heat cycling of the part on the car will also cure the paint. I am pairing it with a 1600 silver engine paint for the head and water pipes that tends to turn a nice bronze with heat. The exhaust components are coated in VHT flameproof.

Hoping to keep things clean in the engine bay while sprucing it up a bit.

I was wondering how the silver turned out.

I have never used it. Wife's are good about not letting us use to kitchen for car parts. Dish washer and oven is off limits. Now the stove is off limits because I boiled a carb in lemon juice. Talk about stink up the house.

He is a quick pic of the Vht Flameproof black. Hoping it stays looking this nice after a few hundred miles.

Looks great! You've gave me a good idea what to do on my next manifold.
