Well I got the head disassembled last night and everything set aside. Used a rigged cclamp for a valve spring compressor to get by with, it always feels flimsy compared to the old bolt on compressor that I had. Anyway, didn't notice anything wrong with the head other than some small grit around but all of the cam bearings and rockers look good. I'm gonna upgrade to 3G lifters for the rebuild for now with new valve seals.

Since I am going to be porting and polishing many of the parts I decided to rip everything apart and do it at once so I mask off a "clean" room with sheeting to keep the shavings to a minimum throughout the garage. After the porting and polishing I will take all the parts to get hot tanked before painting and reassembly.

Looks like the tracks start to open up in march for test n tune nights so the end of February is my goal.

The longer things sit tore apart, the more likely I am to buy upgrade parts so it needs to go back together quickly.

Well I picked up this 2000 GSXR 750 today. Needs a few things like a tuneup, clutch and is in some desperate need of fiberglass and paint. But I picked it up for 1100$ I will always miss my first sport tourer this SS bike will take som getting use to .

So today, I officially ran out of curse words to use while ranting.

Final Bolt arrived - Proceeded to begin final prep - Bleeding brakes and whatnot -

Bleeder valve breaks off in the caliper. It then would not back out.

Gotta buy a new caliper. -.-

Whoa Whoa Whoa hold on just a minute. The only thing I got from your car was the 1g BOV and the 2 gauges. If thats the list then its a very short one and besides were brothers its not like if I didn't have it and you needed it I wouldn't let you have it . Didn't I give you a AWD rear diff, a complete driveshaft, and a full leather seat upgrade for your car? Hmmmm seems like my list is a little longer than yours now... Ohh brotherly love :tease: . I got my turbo bolted up Friday. Now I'm needing a 14b turbo drain. I didn't relize the 14b and t25 were different. If no one has one here i will place a wtb add on here. Anybody?

Dose anybody have a 6 bolt timing cover they would like to sell? (One piece, not the top cap).

Car-parts.com bought 2 good ones off of there for 45 shipped, just depends on the guy you talk to at what salvage yard.

Anybody have a good 6 bolt crank?
