Tonight I had a disagreement with one of my friends about DSM's and their reliablility. (He has no room to talk considering he drives an Audi S4 that has already had about 10k of warranty-covered work done to it) He said that their cheap and fast, but expect to have a lot of problems. I think that because they have so much potential power wise and they respond to mods very well that people end up making a lot of power and puitting too much stress on parts that weren't enginered to withstand that much power therefore breaking things. And the only reason you don't see similar problems with Hondas, Toyotas etc. is because the majority of the people who own these cars and doing mods that are drastically increasing power (like putting an intake, headers and a cat back and thats it) Also, who modify these cars do so for a reason and then beat the piss out of them. I'm not saying that DSM's are the poster child for reliability... just that they get a bad rap because people tend to modify and drive the hell out of them.
