first question are their any real difference. and do they use the same plug, like the part that goes into the harness and from their to the monitor. what happened was mine got stolen outta my car and it just came unplugged. and i have no idea how to wire one up. so i was hoping to get a new one and just plug it in. or try to find a used one.

They use the same plug, so you can just plug the new one in. The difference is, the safc1 tunes in 1000 RPM increments, and one 500 RPM increment ... (example: 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 4500, 5000, 6000, 7000. The safc 2 has more tuning points, and they are more adjustable (example 1000, 1600, 2200, 2800, 3200, 3700, 4300, 5000, etc.)

WRONG AND KINDA RIGHT.

the plug is not the same between the safc1 and safc2. the safc1 has a 10 wire male/female plug. the safc2 has an 11 wire m/f plug. yes, the safc2 has more adjustability points but the best thing about the safc2 is that it has 2 savable fuel maps.
