A friend of mine has one laying around and said I could have it for $20. Good deal? Also does anyone know the pin out or where I can get a wiring diagram for the pins or just a harness?

This is a great deal. The new AFC's from Apex'i are over $400. If he has the complete thing (in car box and harness) grab it. The AFC 1 maybe outdated but it still can be a formidable tuning system and beats DSMLink and ECU+ by hundreds of dollars!!

It's a SAFC 1 I believe . It has no harness, that's why I was looking for a pin out on the module itself. It looks like this but without the harness

Can't say I've ever seen one that looks similar to what you've posted. The oldest AFC I'm familiar with looks like:

From what I have found this AFC is not for a DSM. They seem to be more for a 91 GTO, 91-94 Diamante, and 95+ Diamante, all of which use the 6G72 engine. I don't think they will work with a DSM. I have yet to find any info about installing it in one anyway.

Thats what I have in my Talon. The research that I did revealed the SAFC he is looking at is even older then the one we are using.

Sorry if it's a "noob" question but why wouldn't it work? I mean I don't think they are car secific but I know some are

I've been looking and it said they were called Apexi Super AFC 5 Knob. As seen here FC3S Pro v2.0:  Mods - A'PEXi AFC series I saw a few forums on how to install them into 3000gt and a subbie. Hopefully this willl work and I'm gonna give it a shot. But I'm still looking for a pinout on this because it does not come with a harness. Called Apexi and they can't find anything.

It should work, it the old AFC with out the Super on it.... some of the older dsm guys used to use it back in the day.

Does anyone have this model installed in their car? Or know of anyone with this installed? I just need a quick snap of what the wire looks like plugged into the back so I can figure out what wire is what pin

OK, I have found a pin out and was now wondering which wires on the ECU do I connect to? does it matter if Air flow input 1 & 2 are backwards?

I'm picking it up tomorrow along with a A/F gauge he's given me. What wires go where on the ECU? Airflow Input 1, Airflow Input 2, Airflow Outlet, RPM Signal, IG Power, and Airflow Ground? Which wires are which on the ECU?

I'm not trying to make this in to a mean machine yet, just a few little upgrades when I get them

Ok, so now I have it here layin on the table. I got the gauge ready for install and I made a 3 gauge holder for under the radio, I'll take pics after school today. Can anyone give me a hand with the wiring? I looked at a ECU diagram for a 93 1G Tsi and I can't find what I need? It DOES say in the Apexi wiring diagram that this can be used in an Eclipse, with the same motor. But I looked through someones diagram and can't find what I need. What wires do I use for RPM signal, Airflow Input, Airflow Outlet, and Airflow ground. I know which is for IG Power and I was told I can just ground the ground for the Airflow ground anywhere. Can I ground it anywhere? Any info is appreciated!

I just bought one today for my 98 gst with the 5 knob for 20 bucks from a friend who has a 240sx
anyone know where to get the harness at??

I couldn't find a harness for it so i just made one.... You can either bring the box with you to RadioShack and compare it to what they have or you can get small female quick disconnects and just install it like that. Let me know if ya need help I got the pin out for the box

Just in case anyone still needed help.

For dsm 4g63 90-95 rear switch plate on the back are as follows
