Anyone recognize this turbo and exhaust manifold?

Picked up a black 92 with a mysterious turbo setup.

TURBO:
The compressor housing doesn't have any numbers and the backplate of it is blue. The previous owner said the guy who sold it to him told him it was ac Innovative turbo but even they aren't quite sure. From the looks of the housing, I'm guessing its a TO4E (3" in, 2" out) Ball bearing. That's just a guess of course. I've never really had a ball bearing turbo yet, but when I manually spin the blades, they continue to spin for a good two seconds, unlike my previous evo16g or To4b v-trim.

EXHUAST MANI:
Looks like it has a T4 flange, and then a T3 flange welded beneath it to accomodate the turbo inlet. There aren't any braces underneath or on the collector, but there is number engraved on the #2 runner. Looks like they may have moved the original location for the wastegate and placed a plate for an EGT gauge. Still doesn't look familiar to me though.

Contacted Innovative and they said from the 'looks' of it, it might be a 57trim. I'll be taking out the turbo to rotate the housing and install a braided oil return line, so I'll take more pics. Anything I can measure or take a shot of that would help figure out what this is?

Well, from what i can tell, it's either a turbonetics that has it's housing turned, or it's a hks GT 2510/2530/2540/2540R. Those are the only two housings that i know of with the side tap for boost pressure to the wastegate. But i think you are right in that it being an innovative. They have a housing like that but the previous owner rotated it i guess. Good luck. Brandon [VFRacing]

damn..so your the bastard who bought it huh??? ROFL
it was a great deal :thumb:

I hope that the runners are made of thickwall tubing because those welds on the runners are pretty undercut.

alot of the SBR turbos have that. Its no "uncommon" to see that on a turbo.
