Anyone know where this goes?

Hey guys I found this under my glove box was kinda tucked under there It looks like it should be plugged in some where but I didn't see where. If you guys could tell me what this is for and where it goes would be great :D Not sure if this not being plugged in is causing some of the problems in my other threads. Thanks in advance.

Did you try pulling the glove box and seeing if you could visually see anything or feel something. Judging by the size of that connector it should be fairly obvious once you can locate it. Its def better than having a single bare wire and not knowing where it goes...

Being a 95 its one of those almost obd2 cars. Not sure what connector they have, I even used to have a 95 awd, I can't remember.
That's the ecu connection you plug into as well as the obd1 plug.
It should have a slide clip it goes on or screwed down from a bracket.

I was going to say that looked like an OBD1, but why behind the glovebox? Wouldnt that be under the steering wheel/knee bolster area?

I have an OBD 2 connector under my steering wheel but I have no ####ing clue what this is for LOL. I mean I looked around under the glove box and shit and didn't see a place for it to plug in. DUn make any sense for it to be there though unless it supposed to plug in somewhere. Im just not sure where tho :/ I thought it looked like an OBD1 thing also but it shouldn't be under the glove box :/

Just to clear up confusion. Its best to call what ppl are calling OBD1 connectors as OEM connector. You will still see OBD2 cars with OEM connectors as these offer a lot more capability for their scan tools.
To the OP, that does look like an OEM connector. Kind of odd that it would be near the glove box. Usually this connector would be closer to the fuse box. At least on mine, it is. Don't know if having an automatic vs manual would change this due to the addition of an ECU strictly for the automatic. Then again, could be one of those Manufacturer deals vs the Dealership things. Sometimes Dealers like to add something or take away something. So depending on what trim your car is, it might lack something another trim might have and use that connection.

Sorda looks like the plug under my seat for power seats. But, i also see the adapter for a head unit as well.

hmm thats weird, I am out of ideas...it has to be ONE of those things...maybe someone else with come up with something?:hmm:

I was thinking that if maybe you had an idea of where the wire comes from, it may help us figure out what its for. For instance, does it come from back towards the center of the dash, through the firewall, or from below?

It's a branch of the wires coming from the firewall it looks like and it's a short wire it couldn't stretch to the center console.
