About a week ago my talon broke down due to a split hose that connects the intake manifold to the thermostat. Before I started to repair my car I decided to remove things out of the way to make more room. When I went to pull off the connector found on the top half of the thermostat housing, the sensor broke off at the bolt head. :banghead: I order a replacement from my local auto parts store and the bolt head is 21mm instead of 17mm. I told the guy I had the wrong sensor and he insisted it was the correct one. I decided to return and tried a different auto parts store owned by another company. I got the same god damn sensor!! It is the wrong one and it will not clear the neck on the housing. Any of you know where I can find a brand new OEM replacement part? My stupid local Chrysler tells me they are no longer made.......I am going crazy!!!!

Sorry on this, but don't go to dealers.. NAPA or Carquest can help you here since dealers do not carry parts for any vehicle over a certain amount of years.

I had basically the same problem, but Carquest really helped me on this .. and they had the sensor in stock!

Good luck - DSM

I'm guessing you mean that they don't carry them in stock. I hate to say it but most places don't carry every part for a DSM. If your local shop does, great! It just means they know you'll be replacing a lot of stuff!

Try "Mitsubishi Parts" | Online Parts & Accessories Catalog I swear, I should be getting paid by those guys (maybe I'll try for sponsorship!) Authorized dealership, cheaper than retail and you know it's a factory part.
