any experience with RRE?

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

I have been getting parts from RRE since 2000 and they are one of the most knowledgable and helpful shops out there. High quality items. Their kits are very complete. I have ordered from other places and I have always had to add stuff to their "complete" kits. RRE will get you what you need.

They are not always the cheapest. but they are really cool and have a great depth of knowledge with DSMs.:thumb:

The filter is fine. I would just replace those garbage rubber couplers. I have a ebay intake but use extremepsi couplers because the ones it came with leaked.

RRE is pretty much my exclusive parts shop. Unless, I can find a part cheaper else where. Taking into account shipping and handling. I don't know much about ordering from them because I usually drive the 35 minutes to their shop to pick up or have a part installed. RRE parts are basically functional pieces, that get the job done. If you want more bling, or just want to say your running XYZ name brand, then you obviously have other options. The guys at RRE are very knowledgeable and helpful. Trust me I should know, I have more questions than a 3 year old. I'm just glad they haven't banned me from the shop.

Anything with an Ebay link that isnt a proven product, I just say no to every time.

Lol at this thread. RRE has been a goto shop for DSM performance longer than any of you have even known what a DSM is.

You can trust pretty much anything RRE has to say.

Mike at RRE was probably one of the first hardcore guys to really start modding a 4g63 engine. I've personally met him at MOD last year and hes a great guy. His shop is top notch, never had a problem with their ordering process.

But just a FYI to the OP, their 'intake' system requires that you cut into your stock intake and replace the accordion piece with the hard pipe.

Well thats ignorent. A pipe is a pipe. Mine performs and looks exactly like a extrempsi or injen, but i paid $30. I wouldnt mess with anything of mechanical importance (cams, turbo, bov, internals...ect). But stuff like i.c piping and intakes....ill take ebay brand any day.

The thread's topic is hinging on being a vendor feedback thread, which generally is not accepted well in the tech forums. You can read more about RRE here, although there is only one review but plenty of ratings from other members.

The topic then changed to what intake is best for your car- a topic which has been discussed many, many times on this site. A simple search would turn up plenty of info on intakes.

The thread then changed topics again to how long RRE has been in business. The answer to that is "longer than most vendors".

Sorry, but this one's headed to the Graveyard.
