I was thinking about getting a Holset through The Turbo Trader and was wondering if anyone has dealt with them and what kind of experience they had. Thanks!

I've never heard anything bad about them, only positive. If you're going to get a Holset, I would recommend buying one off Ebay, getting the BEP 0.55 A/R turbine housing and bolting it all together. I just bought one a few months ago and it cost me less than $450 for everything.
Thanks for the responses. I just am one of morons who spends more because he prefers new.
I see excellent condition Holsets in the $3-400 range, plus a new BEP housing is $380. Lets add shipping, and we're talking at least $750. For a little more, I can get a brand new turbo. Thats just how I look at it. And yes it is "expensive" but thats pretty much the range of any other bolt on journal bearing turbo. I was even conisdering a brand new FP3065 but thats $1500!
And that is with the internal gate. And you can get one with just the hole for $220 and run an external gate as recommended off the o2 housing. The new SS bep housing is $280And that is with the internal gate. Nick at the turbotrader is awesome. I bought the last .55 a/r turbine housing from him when it was off of ebay. I called him up and he worked a deal out for me. He's a good, stand-up guy. Id but everything from him if possible. GO EXTERNAL!!! I've done internal, and it's not worth it.
Thats why I have a Tial38 just sitting on the shelf, but I will most likely get one of those new V-band MS-V wastegates!

This will be on vendor reviewed.
