seriously though, I was under the impression that the pins on the evo ecu were the same style as the pins on the dsm ecu and you could just de-pin your connectors, and re-pin them to the right pin locations on the evo ecu harness. Also machv used to sell an adapter harness so I'm sure someone still makes it or something. Worst case senario its 40-50 wires, not that big of a deal.

Well I just got rear ended whilst driving home with the wife. Thankfully we were in her civic, but 2nd accident in 2 years with this car... can't wait to get rid of it... slight back pain in both of us and the car runs like shit now.... looks like the exhaust could be bent and pinched grr

Yeah were fine, the lady was like, id rather pay for this out of pocket instead of insurance... so i was like, you know, fine whatever, i'll get you an estimate...(she claimed she did not have her insurance paperwork on her)

Then i get home, after hearing the car run like ass all the way home... put it up on stands, low and behold, she hit the exhaust... pushed it towards the front far enough to almost be touching the rear suspension, 2 of the rubber mounts popped off the car mount... theres a really nice kink in the middle of the exhuast now... and no idea if it pushed anything forward where its at the engine....GRR

so i decided, screw this, theres no way shes paying out of pocket for an exhaust and bumper... so i file insurance claim

Take it to the official repair shop today, they notice the bumper and the exhaust issues, and then find out that where the spare tire sits in the trunk, the rear was hit hard enough to scrunch the metal where the tire actually sits (same setup as the 2g spare tire)

needless to say, the wife is now driving around in a Chevy HHR rental until the car is fixed... and Progressive completely waived our deductible since its such a clear case that we are not at fault

I have learned it is much better to allow the insurance do all the leg work than getting possibly fudged over by a non insurance having old lady.

aw man that sucks I hope you two are ok, yeah I would go with Kris on this one. Let the Insurance Co. handle it especially sense your back kind of hurts, my wife was an Insurance broker if your coming to the Pizza thing tomorrow i think she is going to bring her GST as well and have some dinner with us if you have any questions I'm sure she will be happy to give you some help.
