I have a non eprom ECU just chilling in my garage right now out of a 96 Spyder... was going to have ECMLink socket it for me and run link on it until i bought the one im using now

evo ecus aren't too expensive. Countless people have got their 1g running on them. I've seen them for 150 bucks.

OK so let me get this straight, if I buy an Evo ecu I could plug it in to my car and have it work? Someone please point me to where I can buy it OR is the EvoScan the same? I not as technical as everyone on here regarding this so a little mentoring in this matter goes a long way for me. Thanks guys.

I quoted this directly from the link I gave you Joe.

ECUs:
These are DSM ECUs that are Flashable.
1998 -> 7/97-5/98 MD346675(FWD) and MD346676(AWD)
1999 -> 6/98-4/99 MD359402(FWD) and MD359403(AWD)

he means that you do not need to buy an evo ecu because your ecu will work the same as an evo ecu. so you can do the same thing with the ecu you have (reflash it), as an evo ecu.

But you would rather run with an AEM wideband....hmm trying to find the logic here
