Antilock light came on after car sat for 2 to 3 weeks

My 2g eclipse gsx has been running fine. I don't drive it that much so it sat for like 2-3 weeks. Then I start it up to drive up the block and the yellow antilock light came on instantly when I turned the car on (it's never been on before). Could this be from the battery? I read try driving the car for half an hour to see if charging the battery fixes it. Any other suggestions?

I drove the car for half an hour but that didn't make it go away. I disconnected the negative terminal for a few seconds then tried again and still on. I read I'm supposed to leave it off for at least 15 minutes or something?

If you remove both of the battery terminals and touch them together for a minute or so it will discharge all capacitors and do a total reset. If the light stays on after that it's time to pull the codes.

How do you pull codes on a 95? I heard using a paperclip. The only shop that I know of that could probably pull the codes is road race engineering in LA but it's a 3 hour drive. I heard 95s are a transition year so most scanners won't work on it

If you have an earlier model with OBDI it will have a diagnostic port. A paper clip is one of many ways. You just have to have a jumper of some sort.

yeah that didn't work the light is still on. is there a scanner I can buy to pull the codes? I read that the paper clip only works for 1997 and up or something not on the 1995s.

Typically due to a bad abs sensor, or it not being fully seated. Be VERY careful if you go to remove and inspect them. Spray heavily with some form of lubricant and gently and slowly wiggle out.
