2G sudden random misfire no spark on 2-3

cars a 95 tsi awd with a 97 motor wired the cas in swapped the plug wires and swapped the injector pins on the ecu.All this was done over a month ago driving it fine ever since. And tonight i was driving around no problems pull in the drive way shut it off sat about 20min when back out to pull it in the garage and is now running rough throwing random misfire code and no spark on 2-3. Swapped other plugs in no difference. any ideas would cause this suddenly i plan on checking the coil tomorrow, and unplugging the cas wile it's running to see if it makes a difference

and help would be appreciated i have a couple hours to mess with it tomorrow and if no luck need to find my ass a ride

Check Transistor and Ohms the coils, check both the primary and secondary. If CAS is the problem then why is 1 and 4 firing? Think about it?

yea i just figured id check the cas and i check the coils the secondary's ohms were in spec tho for the primary i was getting 0 ohms on both coils and i swapped the trigger wires on the coils and plug wires and nothing and swapped them back nothing are both coils just shot suddenly?

Do a continuity of both primary and secondary again, run your ohms testing again, if you come up with 0 ohms if you got "no" continuity then yes coil(s) is bad, it has a break in the windings if the coil ohms at "0" and show no continuity. First check that make sure your not replacing a "good coil" to begin with then start checking the power transistor circuit if coils check good. You can skip steps if you want, but troubleshooting is best starting with the best location for that problem to occur. Once you narrowed it down you begin to trace the problem out, wire by wire, connector by connector circuit to circuit, until you have it narrowed down to area the size of a wire. Has your engine ever been swapped out? I know you have a 97 CAS on it and wired it in but, I would go back and look at that circuit. You have a wire that has came loose if you didn't crimp it tight. Go back and pull on those CAS connectors you wired in. Tug on the wires but not too hard. You want to check for good/tight connection. You may find the problem there.

yes i swapped it out , as for the cas i solder every thing and heat shrink it so it it should be a good connection but i will check also prior to this i was throwing a code for idle air control if they could have anything to do with it it ran fine just idled up now and then

UPDATE so i got another coil now and it was only sparking on one so i swapped the trigger wire and the other coil worked then so im not getting power to the one green wire on the coil then i check my old coils and they work just same thing i have to swap the trigger wires to get the other one to work.

So if anyone has any ideas why im not getting power on the one wire it would be appreciated. hoping its just a bad wire
