another o2 dump problem

so i got my dump from punishment racing, everything is going as planned until i make an attempt to bolt up the downpipe to the exhaust . . . come to realize that the downpipe is short about half an inch and the bolts arent long enough for the nuts to thread on the other end . . . anyone encounter this problem while installing their dump ? i have an evoIII/b16g along with an N1 downpipe & exhaust . . . im sure i can do down to the hardware store and get some longer bolts for this, but it would really be putting a handful of strain on each end of the exhaust . . . wouldnt it ? let me know what you guys think

also, i noticed the dump part of the o2 dump is about one inch above my intercooler pipe, and DIRECTLY above the silicon coupler, wouldnt the high exhaust temperatures melt the silicon coupler ???

no it shouldnt stess it at all.... as for the dump just go to the muffler shop and ask them to run the dump tube down the side of the downpipe untill its under the car
