Just in case I'm forgetting anything I want to post a list to see if i have all necessary parts to make this work
I also have a couple of questions about some things just so I know i have everything right

The list is as follows:
complete 6-bolt motor out of a 1990 talon tsi
2g exhaust manifold
1g intake manifold with transistor pack for 2g
1g tb with 2g sensors
2g coils
1g CAS
2g mount modified for water pump
external oil cooler for the oil pump
1g timing accessories
2g knock sensor
2g tranny (fwd)
6-bolt flywheel (fwd)
1g water pipe and thermostat housing
and i think thats about it

now for the starter do i buy a 2g or 1g?
and I know i use a 2g starter plate but is there a difference between the awd and fwd starter plate?
and do i need to take the 2g sensors off of the thermostat housing and oil pump from a 2g?
and as far as my gs-t, the guy I bought it from said it was ready for a 6-bolt but there are a few missing plugs on the harness and i have the complete harness and flashable ecu from my 99 gsx
should i swap the harness out?

let me know if I'm missing anything on my list
I'm trying to get this thing running by end of month

that helped with the starter question and the thermostat.
thanks for the link
I still want to know if there is a difference between 2g awd starter plate and a 2g fwd starter plate?
and if i need to swap the oil filter housing sensors?

With regards to 2Gs, all FWD, 4G6 vehicles with manual transmissions use the same starter plate. Automatic AWD vehicles also used the same starter plate. Manual transmission AWD vehicles, on the other hand, used a different plate.

Oil filter housing sensors were the same throughout in all DSMs.

Thanks for the info
it really helps out alot

I'm already expecting it to not start the first time because if it doesn't I wont be as angry
The harness is already set up for a 6-bolt (as said by former owner), but I'm missing a few harness plugs that might be a problem when everything starts to come together.
I should be able to figure it all out in the end. I have a full 9 days of work to figure it out
