all the sudden no clutch pressure, grinding gears..

Well I was dirving out of a store and all the sudden my clutch lost about 2/3 its normal pressure. its super easy to push to the floor (but doesnt stick like when you have a leak in the line somewhere). and it wont go into gear... any gear i try to put it into when the car is on will just grind like crazy... i cant drive it at all. could this be the throw out bearing or something? also, my tranny has been grinding 1st and 2nd gear occasionaly cuz they havent been on the shift linkage correctly... any help would be greatly appreciated. i need to get back on the road.... if u have any questions please let me know..

sounds to me like your guess (throw out bearing) is correct. can you feel some kind of grinding feeling in your clutch pedal? mine did when it blew a week ago. if you go with an aftermarket clutch get a mitsubishi TOB because i blew my act one in a million pieces.

sounds like your both throwing darts at a dart board in the dark. look to see if there is a lose of clutch fluid first. then go from there to throw out bearing and pressure plate

ok mine has the same problem but i lost fluid put more fluid in and still nothing. clutch still travels to teh floor without hardly any pressure. what could the problem be PLEASE HELP!! need to get back on the road

If you have no pedal pressure then you have a leak somewhere. Start at the slave cylinder, pull the boot back and check for fluid leaks. Then check the carpet by the pedals for leaks, you might have to pull it back slightly, but if there is fluid there it is the master cylinder. Check all lines for leaks first before you come to the conclusion that you need to start pulling the tranny.
