Aleternator and Charging issue

Before i drive my car i have to use a plug my car battery charger onto the battery to make sure its charged before i drive, so i be driving around and my volts will consensitly keep going down from say 12.xxVolts to by the end of the night 7.xxVolts ive replaced the alternator 3 times and the battery twice. But this most recently time was today i took the alternator off and took it to Checkers and they told me the alternator is good but it chewed the belt from being loosely mounted so now im stuck and dont no why my car wont stay charged for more than 4 hours please help thank you.

Your car could be going into limp mode. Limp mode drops voltage very very low and basically drops it so you can get home safely because your ecu detects a problem. This might be why you see low voltage. A bad cam angle sensor will do this (from experience ). Do you have any check engine lights?

I had a similar problem to yours my car literally died on the thruway stuck in traffic. I upgraded my alternator to a 125 amps from the stock 75 amp alternator and I don't have this problem anymore. Maybe something to look into. The only thing I added was aftermarket fog lights because the front mount intercooler I am running wouldn't fit with the stock ones.
