So I replaced my MC and SC with aftermarket non oem. well my master is leaking after only 2 weeks of use. This is a daily driver with stock hp and a stock excedy clutch. Can someone please shed some light on why this keeps happening? I understand their inferior but still....2 weeks only? Not a good enough answer. Thanks..

Sadly that is the answer, unless you didn't install them properly, which I'd prefer to assume it's because they're crappy parts. If you still have the oem MC, get a rebuild kit for it. That's what I had to do a couple years ago because the aftermarket one also failed within a month. If you don't want to spend the money for a new oem part, get the rebuild kit, it's easy to rebuild.

That is just completely unbelievable to me. Even though I know it's true. How hard is it really to get close to oem and maintain functionality?

Keep in mind, I'm not at the light dropping the clutch racing. This is my daily, that I very rarely abuse now in its high mileage. Makes complete sense in their "lifetime warranty" LOL. No, I don't have the oem MC.

Some parts you just should go aftermarket with. You have identified one of them. Even with the warranty unit, you will still have to install and bleed each time. That along is worth the OEM price. Post a WTB ad if you want to save money and rebuild it yourself as @spyderdrifter suggested.

Thanks for the replies. So this was about a leaking master but that was a smaller issue. My main was not getting into gear because of leaking master, well I replaced with a new one today and still same issues. Couldn't get to release. Pulled the fork cover back and a piece of my throw out bearing fell out LOL.

I was just doing research on the "exedy oem replacements" and ones like it where you can get both for like 50ish bucks... And even the Honda guys were saying they were failing like instantly almost.. One or two guys said they got 10-12k out of them, but then again one guy said he got 50-60 miles out of one.. Few said a few hundred miles..

That's not to say he/they def installed it properly or anything, that - I dont know.. all I know is I read that it happened, and the guys with the ones that lasted all said the same thing.. "Everyone with ones that didn't last must have installed them wrong".. Which is possible, but the amount of people complaining to the amount praising was a pretty high ratio on the negative side..

If there are OEM rebuild kits with OEM parts. DEF oem all the way with CMC, BMC, and SC

Finished new stock "luk" clutch install, shimmed pivot ball (2x turbo bolt washers) even with only one round of bleeding it has a soft pedal but will easily shift between gears and still roll into first (this is with the same MC/SC that was brought up in this thread)

It was very strange though, I pulled the tranny and thought it was the TOB that broke but everything was fine (PP fingers were straightend out a little) Before the tranny was pulled the fork sat just a tad towards the passenger. Now I have no disengagement problems.
