Ok I have read a lot of articles on the wideband and hooking it up.
I have a 1G and I would like to have it in the stock o2 spot but I don't
have dsmlink to simulate a narrowband. I will not be logging for some time and I won't have dsmlink until late this year just not in the budget at this point.

So anyway am I better off putting it down stream or can I wire it in somehow to make it work in the stock place? I did see a article about the 2g wiring but not a 1g.

Thanks

PS new to this side of these cars.

If you read the instructions that come with the aem wideband it tells you that if your vehicle is turbo charged they recomend mounting the afr Sensor further down the exhaust from the turbo to prevent sensor death. I would think that mounting it right behind the turbo would be a bad idea considering how hot it gets there. Just my 2 cents.

I currently have it simulated in dsmlink v3 and reads properly from 02 housing but plan on relocating it to another bung lower very soon.
Since you are not using dsmlink till end of year then you would have to leave original o2 hooked up so ecu can function normal. The extra bung can be welded 36in from the turbo as aem recommends from what i recall. The uego will log a/f ratio externally and report it via gauge.
By the time you get dsmlink you should be able to use it either way in the bung you weld on and hook it up.

The UEGO has a narrowband output from the gauge. You could just unhook the stock o2 sensor and run the output to the ECU. As long as the switch in the back of the gauge is set to narrowband you should be ok.
