Hey guys, I’ve got a question about wiring an AEM UEGO into my car. I have it in the front O2 housing, with the sensor wired into the gauge on the dash. What I’m trying to do now is connect the sensor to my ECU without splicing the existing harness. Couldn’t I just cut off the sensor from the original O2 sensor and splice it into the pigtail? That way I can still log and avoid hacking my harness up?

It would depend what ECU you have. The AEM UEGO does not have a narrow band 1v output, so you can't connect to the stock ECU, which means you still need the stock O2 sensor if you have the stock ECU. If ECMLink, you don't need the stock O2 sensor and use the narrow band simulation and connect the 5v to one of inputs. If standalone ECU, connect the 5v output to the ECU.

I’ve got ECMLINK V3 on the way from another Member! So I would be able to just splice into the pigtail from the stock O2 sensor and simulate narrowband to have everything hooked up correctly?

That's right. Connect the AEM 5v output to the front O2 input and use the narrow band simulation.

I’ve used these posi lock connectors to log sensors with success without having to cut and splice my harness.

I'm not sure what you're worried about but if you don't want to "hack" the harness then you can de-pin the ecu pin you want to use. I would suggest using both the front o2 AND the wideband. It's my understanding that the stock o2 is a little better at controlling the trims.

That's the end goal, to have a bung welded onto the downpipe and move the wideband there while retaining the front O2. I hadn't considered de-pinning but I'll probably do that to the pin for the rear O2 once I get that bung welded on.
