I've been trying to figure this out for awhile and don't know what it is.

Relevant mods: aem ems, msd dis 2, stock coil

If I roll into 2nd gear or above at WOT, the car will pull fine to the 8500 rev limiter.

If I go part throttle in any gear I will hit a 6000 rpm limiter.

If I rev in neutral I will hit a 6000 rpm limiter. It just bounces and is not any type of anti lag or two step.

I verified all limiter settings in the AEM and also tested the DIS 2 box which also seems fine. I bypassed the DIS 2 and it still does it.

It also seems like if the car is > x boost there is no problem, but if its < x boost then there's a problem and it stops revving at 6000 rpm.

Problem solved. The cam/crank wizard was never ran in AEM so everything was essentially zero'd out for the cam/crank high and low rpm. I've been driving like this for 2 years!

LOL yeah it happens. thats why i asked to see the cal file, it seemed like something wasnt right. on my hondas random RPM limiter almost always meant i forgot to tighten the dizzy and my timing was way off. make sure your cam sensor is snug, then run your ign wizard!

ive been having alot of trouble with my aem randomly changing settings me lately.

If you use USB..DONT! LOL i got a pcmcia adapter off ebay. its the shit, and like 6 bucks.

also..the directory you store your cal file. EMPTY IT! zip all your cals and move them. Then reupload the same cal to the computer 4 times. i load it, switch on and off and reload it. i do this because i believe the AEM stores its program on seperate banks of the same chip. I think if it freaks out, it goes looking for the last known good configuration in a seperate BIN on the chip.

This could be totally wrong! but its what i feel/imagine.

Also, call AEM as there is something in the full options list that by default is turned off and should be on. this causes the AEM and the laptop to lose sync while driving causing all sorts of weird shit.

Like, one night i left the car wash. when the laptop went into hibernate the AEM freaked out and stalled the car. took a full power cycle to reset it, and once it was back on the map was one that i had been working on weeks earlier. totally not the map i had loaded at that time at all.
