rev limiter adjustment

I was *blessed* with a 92 laser with the dreaded 4g37. It has an automatic transmission and seems to redline at about 6250 or so. Naturally speaking, is there a way to make the engine spin faster (up past 7000 rpm would be great). How is it done?
