Just started my new engine with a brand new AEM oil pressure gauge. Problem is the gauge isnt reading anything LOL It reads with two side to side bars. Ive attached a pic of where the tap is for the gauge at the OFH.

Is it in the right place? or is the gauge at fault here?

If youre not getting a pressure reading at the gauge, and assuming the power and ground connections to the gauge itself are good the easy thing to check is to see of the sealant on the threads of the sender is preventing the sender from getting a good ground as the threads are what grounds the sender in many cases.

Bad sender out of the box? Wouldn't be the first time I've seen that happen. Otherwise, check your wiring.

That's interesting I didn't know that. Ill have to check on that.

Hmm, lookin at it, it seems that there are two wires coming off the sender, so one may be a ground, which may render my suggestion useless, however, perhaps that sender requires power from one wire, and the other wire reports varying voltage to the gauge which is translated to pressure. What I would do is start the car, have someone sit and look at the gauge while you take a short length of wire and touch one end to the body of the sender and the other end to a clean spot on the filter housing and if the gauge begins reading pressure, the answer is that the sealant is preventing a good ground.
