AEM EMS vs. MAFTpro

Oh yeah, and no one had link around here till after I get my AEM. I'd prefer to get rid of the GM Maf setup anyway. Already ordered the pipe for speed density and the IAT bung is being welded in. So a swap with a MAFTpro running speed density would be a straight swap.

Since the Pro also uses a stock ecu and can get a dsmchip, I'm being told that it's suppose to make tuning faster and easier. Even called the guy at fullthrottle and he said I could have it running good in a few hours versus AEM. But dunno about that. Not seeing anyone on here really using it. Guess I should ask that to the guys on fullthrottle forums.

v8's are slow, hey man the whole number thing is quite easy. When the car is running at the bottom of the map there will be a taget and it will tell you which number you are at, it is an easy concept. Yes the injector is the same, you could have just compared the resistant that thye both have. No big deal sorry it took you so long. Also dont sell the aem man, it is awsome. You have a wide band that you can wire into the inputs and do auto fuel mapping which it awsome so it will automatically tune the proper fuel for points, just dont use it above like 70% throttle. That will get your car running desent. go to the fuel header in the program, and open up the map fuel automap and check it out. You can set the afr you wnat and thats it, always easier said than done, but o well, if you need any more help man just email or post. mark

Listen to mark90gst, don't sell it. I also thought it was intimidating at first, but once you get into it, it's really not that bad. Just take it one step at a time. My car was daily driven when I first got the AEM, I had it up and running in a few hours. A few more hours of tuning and it was ok to drive. Just with the few hours of low throttle and idle tuning, the car ran 10 times better than it ever did with a stock ecu, safc, or dsmlink (not bashing dsmlink).

GVR, is right aem is awsome, i had my car running so quick and with a few hours or so of tuning it idles and drives better than ever, it starts on 10 degree mornings and idles perfect, the aem is the way to go, no doubt. Dont sell it man, use it esscpially with your new setup it will be sick. That thing wilkl move soome ass. But it is up to you to decide
