on my eclipse the accesory belt(power steering, water pump,) the tensioner has a bad bearing in it so it squeexs like a mo fo, i was wondering if the tensioner from a 1 g would bolt up to where mine is? i have a 98 eclipse gs, or were could i buy a new bearing?
thank you

Well- you have the 420a which is a completely different animal than what was put into the 1g n\t's... no parts are really interchangable in that department...

You'll have to go to your local parts dealer (Napa, Murrays, Autoquest, etc.) and see if you can pick one up.

And are you sure it's that and not a bad belt squeeking on there? or oil on the pulley?

10000% positive, i heard the noise, took off old belt, cleaned pullys, put new belt one, did nothing and its getting anoying. thanks for the reply
