Boring,
Oregon
Hey everyone, I recently bought an e16g that a member had ran and before install I decided to measure thrust play. Looks as if it has about .004 thust play dry, I've read that oil takes up most of that once its installed but I also read on another post that .002 is the limit so I figured I would ask. As for the test I did it by taking the hot side off and pressing on the shaft one way then feeler gauge it between the wheel and the sheild and vice versa. I realize there was a small room for error when measuring but I don't have a dial indicator on hand so I hope this method still gaves me an idea of what was going on. Thanks for any help!
, yes... I'm cheap). I'm using all oem lines, 1g feed from head and 2g return. I did notice a small leak at the head feed line due to reusing copper washers today but its not enough to raise a red flag. To my question...does this sound normal? No thrust play to a small but perceptable amount after 100 miles with oem lines? Thanks!
