98 talon nt rear end swaying when trying to go straight !!!

ok so i just got back in the dsm game from a break. well i traded my nissan 240sx for a 98 talon n/t yes i no no turbo neon motor what not . but hey i wanted to give them a try well. when trying to just drive straight my rear end trys to kick out . sway or fishtail what ever you want to call . but ya its quite scray trying to drive striaght and the back end is all over the place. well i took it in to a shop and they said my rear driver spinlde is bentWTF. does that mean i dont even no where to look . i mean we have a 96 tsi parts car but idk if i could use it . let alone i dont even no what the spindle looks like unless its the kncukle . on the axle any help will really help me on this any diagram or anyone that has had this problem and sovled it . let me know please i just want to drive in a straight line with out have the feeling like i have 500hp to the rear wheels. on ice

Jack up the rear of the car and see if the wheels have movement.

Take it to a shop and get an alignment.

Also check the condition of the rear control (knuckle/spindle) arm bushings. Had to replace the ones on my car, and it was NIGHT and DAY difference in the rear end handling. check out the sway bar end links as well.

The Spindle is the the large piece that bolts to the body of the car. It'll hold the backing plate for the brakes, brakes, strut, wheel bearing, and CV axles (when AWD) It's like he connecting link for the parts to the car's body. You could use the one from the TSI, as long as its front wheel drive.

I'm willing to bet that's where the failure is.

When they go there is a retarded amount of movement in the rear.

ok so you saying just throw in the tsi. rear end i think we only have the right passenger side axle left. though but that would make sense if the spindle is bent it would throw off my back rim .

well there is a shop here who will do the work . for 250 parts labor and aligment . so i get paid tuesday . i hope i will have some good new then to update. but if anyone knows a way to make it cheaper let me no . thanks again guys and gals for the help so far . ROCK ON

I missed the part where you said your spindle was bent.

Obviously someone Tokyo Drifted it into a curb.

ya i got it with a bent rim and replaced them with gst rims and tires. and ya the idoit hit a crub so what your take on it sebba /

I'd swap over the spindle from the other car that you have.

i would have in a heartbeat. but my buddy used the good left driver axle. to put on his red tsi . so i am back to square one if anyone has one they want to sell. to a dsmer in need please pm me . or if i could use the back rear passenger side. but i dont no if i can use it not sure if it would match up. so now i am stuck again . i dont want to drive it the way it sits.
