97 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX

Okay everyone. I just bought a 97 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX that is an automatic and red in color. I am just curious if someone or many people can throw out some pictures of nice red eclipses that have a few exterior mods. I am just going to try to make this car look nice and not do a whole lot of engine mods for now. The car is stock currently which is nice! Thanks! Just looking for ideas on exterior mods really.

Gofer is a great template! IMO the only aesthetic mods for any DSM are a (mild) drop, wheels, and a nice shiny smile And paint/restoration if needed, which most do .

Hmm thanks guys! Any two tone looks that look any good? Maybe like a black hood and part of the front bumper painted black?

I see a few with black hoods and I dont know how I feel about it. I think with the middle part of the front bumper painted it might look good.

I've seen a few 2gb's with the front bumper painted to mimic the EVO X and IMO it looks pretty wicked!

Yeah similar to the silver one in your first link, but the top only goes up to the.. "ripples" above the mouth, and personally I wouldn't paint around the fog lights like that. Body kits just don't do anything for me =\ But this has been said countless times, it's YOUR car so do what YOU like, don't worry about what others think of it! We're more than happy to offer suggestions though if you can't decide

Thanks guys! I am not into the body kits either. I am thinking it might look good if I paint all around the black trim around the roof of the car? Like Daniel did? Should I paint the top too or just the trim?

Thanks guys! I am not into the body kits either. I am thinking it might look good if I paint all around the black trim around the roof of the car? Like Daniel did? Should I paint the top too or just the trim?

It's up to you, the Talons have that 2-tone style factory, Eclipses are all one color (95-99) both look sexy IMO though

I don't want the ride to be super bumpy like my last eclipse all the time but I want the capability to make it that way if I choose. Thanks!

I can't really recommend coilovers since I'm only on adjustable AGX's and pro kits, but check out JNZTuning, they have some quality kits for a reasonable budget. But honestly if you want a stock ride, only stock suspension will do that, anything aftermarket is going to be stiffer.. My setup isn't bad at all though, I have a bad back/neck and it's tolerable - I leave it soft for daily and then turn it up when I hit the canyon or track

To me, $4400 isn't bad at all, I paid 4 for my 6/4 with 80ish on the clock but it had that much in after mark parts already. It's all about what you think it's worth to you - a lot of people will say I paid too much, but it didn't have a lot of issues and it was worth it to me
