I found this on Craigslist and was wondering if anyone could help me decide if its worth it
This is what the post says:
I have a 97 gsx with a 6 bolt 2.3 stroker, mahl pistons 9.5:1, eagle h beams, uncut 4g64 crank, apr full engine hardware, precision 6152 journal bearing needs rebuild, dnp manifold, bc 272 cams, balance shaft delete, 3" exhaust, dsm link v3 full, innovate wideband. Needs fuel injectors and the turbo rebuilt, i haven't ran it for over a year and it starts now but just dies after 5 seconds.
He told me he thinks it needs injectors and old fuel. He said he was gonna run e85 so there's 1600cc injectors on there now. I could get it for about $2800
I have pictures on my profile might be under my favorite s tho.. thank you!

I am guessing you aren't a noob at this deal. thats going to make some crazy power

Lol not a noob at all but compared to a lot of people here I still have a lot of learning to do. At 24 psi on 6152 would be fun but I'm pretty sure that's not the sweet spot because that turbos capable of 640 hp. If you run e85 (if its in your area do it) then you can run a lot more boost an be able to hit the sweet spot with this thing and put down some great numbers.

Seams like if the car is in nice shape then you are getting a nice car with a bunch of parts you would be buying anyways. Could also buy it and part the stuff you don't want to use out and use the money to build a nice driver

I think if theres no rust and not too heavily dented or torn up interior its def worth the money hes asking. Just do all the tests on it, compression being of the utmost importance.

Looks like a nice black gsx with some quality parts. He mentions that there is a dent in the passenger rear quarter. You might want to get some pics before making the drive. Also be sure to do a compression test before handing over any money!

If not to far away I say go check it out, might be a score with all the parts.
