Are 97 ECUs compatible with ECUflash? or is only 98/99 compatible? Anyone who knows or has done it please let me know. Thanks :hellyeah:

So i can buy a 98/99 and plug it in, and use ecu flash?

98/99 only. And actually only a percentage of them are flashable. You have to check the pcb to be sure.
what do you mean pcb?

The pcb code is printed in white on the actual control board. Look at the first photo in the link.

Ok, so if i pick up a 98/99 ecu, what all would i need to use ECU flash? Sorry I'm sort of a dummy when it comes to this stuff, still learning things everyday

Either gst or gsx ecu is fine. And jst make it's the black plastic case and make SURE the pcb code on the board on the ecu matches the above codes or you will NOT be able to flash it. I learned this personally the hard way.
