97-98-99 Eclipse's...different?

The ABS module is different from 95-96 and 98-99 cars. Not sure about the 97, the only person I know locally with a 97 doesnt have ABS. Also the transmission cooler for automatics is in the driver's side bumper vent on 2ga cars and in front of the radiator on 2gb. I've also heard of some cars that have it in the radiator itself, but havent seen which one comes that way from the factory.

The little plastic screw covers on the door panels didnt come on my 98, and did on my 95. The 98 screws didnt even have the ring that they snap to. My 98 also didnt come with plastic covers for the seat bolts, and the 95 did.

Thinking hard, also the gas pedal assembly is different between the 2GA and 2GB. On the 2GA it's a stamped sheet steel pedal arm, on the later cars it is a bent round bar. The main relays are also not the same as far as I can remember.

95 cars also had the 3 way AC switch like a 1G, which later cars did not have.

Anyone can feel free to correct me on this but these are the things I can think of right off hand.

1) Starter relay on 95-97 has different pinout than 98-99.
2) 97 does not have a evap emission vent solenoid where the 98 & 99 do.
3) 97 turbo does not have a fuel tank differential pressure sensor where the 98 & 99 turbos do.

Numbers 2 and 3 is why you may get a CEL if you put a 98-99 turbo ECU in a 97 turbo.

The trans cooler info is wrong. Im 2gb and mines in my bumper the powersteering is in front of the rad. Most 2g cars if not all coolers never were in the rad.

Maybe this was a change made for AWD then? I have both the power steering loop and a seperate transmission cooler in front of the AC condenser. Pic:

On my 95 Talon TSI AWD the cooler was in the bumper. On this car if you look in the vent on the driver's side you can see there's no way they could have put it there, the box for the ABS is in the way.
