96-Gst, auto Trans, running prob.

This has stumped me for the last time i come looking for answers. HAHAHAH.
Okay my eclipse at start up in the morning jumps to 1000 rpms, then after running a while as in going some where and leaving it for about an hour i go to start it again and it has a problem keeping running, i shift to reverse and it just dies unless i hit the brake and the gas at the same time just too keep it going or else it dies. But heres the kicker it runs fine after hitting the gas and getting it going for a minute. I changed the sparks about 3 months ago i have raced it since i did blow a spark and replaced one but i have 3 ideas- Fuel Pump, Sparks are bad or burn to hot ( they are NGK racing sparks), fuel to air ratio is to high. So i need yalls help please

Always start with a boost leak test. Do you have a vacuum gauge?

Yes I do, i guess i will do that this weekend, but if it was a vacuum leak wouldn't it be dumping to much gas?
Because i have to work the throttle and brake to get it to stay running.

I Vote vacume leak, let us know what u find?

Boost leak test first before you start replacing things. Look for leaks at the injector seals i had huge leaks there when i first got my car.

Okay problem with dieing is fixed found a split in the throttle body vacuum hose, still running high rpms bu i think thats my sparks which i am changing today i will keep yall updated
