Hello everyone,
Recently bought a 96 eclipse GST with turbo (swapped) with swapped engine Crate Engine 4G36 Motor from Japan (said the buyer)

Anyways, my problem is after first gear, i cant go past 3grand in rpms, then the car acts like its powerless/bogging out/starving ?

First gear i can take it up high, but others i cant. The turbo spools up, and BOV works? The turbo gauge only goes to like 3.

The seller said it could be the wastegate, can anyone else share opinions or help?
If it is the wastegate, how much will that be to fix? Thank you in advance!!
oh also, im missing a coolant sensor, could that be a prob? ill be getting a new one tomorrow

sounds to me like a big boost leak or probably your inter-cooler coupling blew off... another thing is that you can try this.... disconnect your wastegate vacuum line and ride it like that... but remember that your foot will control how much boost you make... take it easy and give it a little gas and see if ill boost up more than 10psi but dont take it past 15...

alright thank you, ill try that today and post what happends

ok so i didnt try that yet,
but i just saw i have a long but tiny tiny crack in the intake manifold, could that cause big problems?
also, my air/fuel gauge says its pure gas going in, so its running real rich, what would make it stay fully on gas?

How are you missing a coolant sensor? install the coolant sensor and get back to us. Coolant temps can cause the ecu to trip out and dump random fuel in the motor. Also sounds like a boost leak in this story as well.....

that is not the coolant temperature sensor. It is a sensor for the AC. it shuts the AC off if the car starts to overheat, so I wouldn't worry about it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that appears to be a 6 bolt motor. Check for boost leaks. Also, try and find out what size injectors are in it. If he put slightly bigger injectors in it and didnt tune it, that could be the problem. Also, you should recirculate your blow off valve, that could MAYBE be your problem, but i doubt it.
