First off, Hello to everyone. I am new here and don't have too much experience with DSMs. I am pretty mechanically and electrically inclined, but just have never owned a DSM. To the problem I am having -

The car will barely idle, it starts up nice and easy with 1 or 2 cranks, but then 3 seconds later it drops in rpm and idles very very rough and sometimes it quits sometimes not. I can immediately fire it up again every time, always starting quickly and smoothly. I have not done the FIAV blockoff or the EGR blockoff, and all my vacuum lines are stock. I did however replace the line from the intake manifold to my Greddy RS BOV, which is vented to the atmosphere. The car is set up for this, in a blowthrough config with the 3" GM MAF sensor and MAF-T. The car ran ok before I took the upper piping off, I also checked it for boost leaks and it held pressure ok. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Well, I have checked for boost leaks, the plugs, wires, ecu, I cannot find the problem. It all happened after I put a new pcv valve on. I am not sure if anyone will ever reply to this, but I would really appreciate it if someone would put in their opinion.

My car had the same rough idle issues after my rebuild a couple weeks ago. Turns out it was just a vaccume leak. Go over all of your vac lines. BOV to intake manifold, brake booster, pcv, ect.

Ok cool I will check the BISS adjustment, I know I need to gound a terminal under the hood and one pin on the OBD connector so the ecu will not be controlling the idle speed stepper motor. I just finished removing all vacuum lines, and replacing the ones to the egr valve, fuel pressure solenoid, BOV, and wastegate actuator. I just cut the ones off that go to the charcoal canister; I am not sure if this is ok to do, I think I might need to block off the "from fuel tank line" and leave the "to fuel tank" line alone. Also, I am going to replace the coolant temp sensor as I noticed it had fluid leaking on it (I already replaced the thermostat and gasket today). Are the solid lines that run underneath the intake manifold just there to connect to the other side? Or are they actually connected into the IM? I really need a wideband 02 sensor and guage, boost gauge, water temp gauge, and oil pressure gauge.
Thanks for the help, this is a nice forum and I do not regret buying this car although I will be replacing many things that have been on the car since 91.
