Okay so i swapped a 92 shep tranny into my 90. I used everything from the 92 shift fork, shifter base assembly, cables and everything. the car works great in reverse but doesn't work correctly in any forward gears. If shifts into every gear fine but when trying to move in first it feel likes its in 5th and the clutch will start smoking like a mother trucker. The only thing i can think of is i replaced the stock flywheel with a fidenza flywheel and only torqued it to stock specs along with the pressure plate. but would that cause this issue? please let me know your thoughts.

Did you check that the gears worked before you installed it? If it doesn't move at all in forward gears, them it's possible the reverse cog is stuck in reverse. Another possibility is that you mixed up the shifter cables.
Ninga edit.

the flywheel was the issue, used a fidenza flywheel without the spacer and longer bolts, caused me to ruin a brand new flywheel and clutch, to anyone who plans on using a fidenza make sure you purchase the shim plate and longer bolts!

What specific length flywheel bolts were you using?? They should have either been 21.2mm or 22.5mm if the flywheel flange thickness was 12mm. Please measure the flywheel flange thickness. The automatic flexplate spacer plate is always a recommended install part with aluminum flywheels to help reduce the likelihood of the flywheel bolts loosening up from heat cycles. 100 ft/lbs with Loctite Red should have been the flywheel bolt torque spec followed with NEW flywheel bolts, and then 20-24 ft/lbs with the pressure plate bolts using the proper MF241251 bolts with captured lock washers.

Here is a quick list of OEM flywheel bolts with lengths and part numbers:
