i am having a hard time finding good info on this. i read vfaq and it got me no where.

right now i have tried the every combination of the shifter, cables, and the one bracket. and nothing has worked.

with the 90 shifter 92 cables, and 90 bracket it goes into 2 4 and R but not 1 3 and 5

any help would be appriciated.

If you are using a 92 trans in a 90 car then I would use the 92 shifter arms and 92 cables. The cable lengths and arm lengths should be correct if everything is from the 92 car.

EDIT: Are you positive the trans is good? A broken shfit fork could cause your problem.

The cables should be the same, the shifter and brackets are different, notice that the shifter arms are different that is why you are having a problem, if you can swap those out than you'll be ok, but good luck on getting them off.
