I was driving the car a couple weeks ago and I was in a parking lot and it cut off on me. I cant get it to fire up at all.

Things I have checked:
no boost leaks
changed cam posistion sensor
has pressure at fuel rail
compression is good
has good spark
pulled the computer (the numbers said it was a N/A computer that came out of it) put a known good computer in it
timing marks look good
changed plugs

the car just turns over repeatedly then pop out of the exhaust, here is a short vid, sorry my camera sucks.

It has good spark and fuel pressure of 37psi at the rail? Have you checked to make sure the timing belt isnt broke? Also check compression. If all of the above are good it should start.

If you removed the CAS make sure you didnt install it 180* out.

EDIT it sounds like its 180* out. I bet the old CAS was bad and you put the new one in incorrectly.

When I put it in it was plug side up like the one I took out. The guy that had it before me said he put 450's and a computer that would run them in it, I took the computer out after everything else to replace it and me and a couple other guys all searched the numbers on it and it was a N/A computer so I replaced that with a turbo AWD computer. Ill have to try the sensor again after work. But I was told by the DSM shop that I got the sensor from that being able to put them in backwards was a myth, any other ideas?

Its not a myth. The sensor turns its not the outside but the inside. It functions similar to a distributor in other 4 cylinders. It rides on a notch in the cam. It can be 180* out do some searching on the site and avoid your "mechanic" he doesnt sound to knowledgable on DSMs

Sounds like your timing belt jumped a tooth or two. check the timing marks on the cam gears to make sure they line up at TDC.

Already did, the belt is on good and the teeth line up. Ill try the sensor again.

He isnt my mechanic, just a friend with a bunch of extra parts and a couple 9 secon talons.

He has a few 9 second talons and said it cant be 180* out? Or the shop?

They are a reputable shop? Check out Steves links. I wasnt on my phone to link you. I just posted pics on this topic to another member a few weeks ago. He was told the same thing. It honestly sounds like the timing is off from the CAS.

He owns the shop, but he doesnt work on my car, he is just a friend through the car scene. He told me there wasnt really anyway to put it in wrong. Yea I looked at the link, its a reputable shop, the co-owners (my buddys) daily drive cars that both run better then 10.90's that they built.

Im gonna retry the sensor I guess when I get a chance this weekend.
