Turbo AWD Automatic. Well long story short I bought this car and got a ton of extra parts with it. The headgasket decided to go out on me within 2 days of buying it to the point it wouldnt crank. So now Im getting ready to start working on it. The only thing with it right now is that Ive got a spare 6 bolt block that I would like to build before I rip the car down but the guy that sold me the car only had one main cap for it. I could get some more main caps for free from a friend but I still havent priced getting it line bored.

Mods when I got the car:
walboro 255, 2g manifold and o2 ported, small 16g

Left over stuff from parting out my neon:
Adjustable FPR, AEM wideband, 30/30 phantom boost gauge, gunmetal slipstreams

So far I have purchased:
Front mount with piping, 3in gm maf, mbc, wiseco/manley stroke combo, arp head studs, MLS headgasket

Up next:
2.4 crank, dsmlink v3, 1200cc injectors, BC cams, hughes stall

Then later on Im going to go with a bigger turbo as soon as I have the cash for it.

Something about the part throttle boost eating up the bearing, its happened to a couple guys locally.

Well the block and head are at the machine shop.

Should have them back in a few days, then get it put back together and hopefully get it running within a couple weeks.

Also ordered the prothane mounts and all the fittings to put the adjustable regulator on.

Only thing I really need now is the tq converter, timing belt and a couple little things then I can do break in on it, then on to bigger injectors, cams, smim ect.

Very good start for a car that you just got. The larger turbo will re-awaken that car. I know when I put my t4 in it was like a brand new car. Good luck with the car and let us know what else you put in it.

16g is out being ported, pistons got here monday and are at the machine shop with everything, torque converter is going off to hughes friday, also picked up a set of BC titanium springs and retainers that are now in the head so it will make the cam swap easier later on

they came in old mirages and mighty max's

Anyways Im dropping the converter off tommorow and then it will be time to start reassembling.

block is getting o-ringed at my buddys shop, and I sent the tq converter off to hughes today also

Got the block back yesterday from o-ringing. Hopefully start getting it together and take some pics tonight.

You gotta watch Hughes, they've tried to stick me and 2 of my buddies with 6xx dollar bills instead of the 4xx bill we were quoted. The converter is awesome, but they're sketchy on their prices.

Yea I was wondering about that, my friend said they got it done for $400 and the guy at the trans shop that is sending it out said they quoted him for $600, I havent paid anything yet though, just dropped it off. How did you handle the situation?

yes... mine is teal!
I like it!
Not sure if your being sarcastic but whatever!

My brother and friends make fun of my color!
its cool whatever dude! :p

no I'm serious, it's a cool color. I just like the odd colors, especially on a DSM. I used to have a dodge colt that was lime green. I mean it was like a glow in the dark color. really cool.

whats with the one turbo bolt being different? I ask, because the Talon I'm picking up, has that same bolt, but it's backed out about 1/2" ?

I think it was just paint, IDK it was just a different color when I bought the car, seemed to fit right though.

Speaking of lime green, well Ill just post pictures of the block later. :hellyeah:

Lime green as in DSM Graveyard's frankenstein motor? Good luck with the build my man

Nah, I just got the wiseco/manley combo stroker setup, and grabbed the brightest engine enamel paint I could off the shelf when I got the block back.:thumb:
