92 6bolt tach issue

ok im sorry if this is repetitive but i cannot find a tach signal in my car at all what all sends a tach signal and what could be stopping the signal.?also what is all involved in the 92 system for the tach signal? noise filter? im looking into a new power transistor at the moment already.

You can try to bypass the noise filter its on the fire wall

i replaced the pt and was getting a signal but it wasnt constant like id have a reading then id start to drive and once i hit 2nd or 3rd the tach would drop and not move
