91 talon AWD cranks, starts, dies, need help

So I just rebuilt the motor, new turbo too, I drove it around a bit to break it in and see if any problems came up, it all checked out, then I stop at a car wash, now it cranks, if I get on the throttle, its a super choppy rev, then it dies a few seconds after. Ive checked wires and tried unlugging the ecu and looking at it, im not sure what to do next

Boost leak test? Probably blew a coupler loose or wasn't tight enough also look over all the plugs in engine bay, one might have come loose alittle.

You have the classic symptoms of an engine miss due to arcing wires, or at least some sort of ignition break-down. It probably got hot and wet/damp and just needs to dry out a bit. Push the car out of the wash bay and pop the hood and just chill... Let it cool down and dry out and try it again. If the plug wires are not new I would look at replacing them soon.

Does the boost gauge goto 0 and check engine light come on when you turn the key to the on position? If not, ecu is bad.

I agree with this! did you wash the engine bay at the car wash?

Sounds like something may have got wet - crappy old wiring harness maybe ? Something not making a good/solid connection.
