Resolved 91-94 Coil pack capacitor

Can anybody shed some more light on what this part is and does? I believe it is a capacitor, mine doesn't look so hot.

I believe it's just used for noise filtering.

Actually, it looks like it got very hot.

It's a noise filter for the radio. Not too important.
