I am getting my motor built right now by the shop and i was wondering what head work should I do to support a hta35r turbo and a 9000k new red line.

everyone says springs and 1mm oversized valves and a port and polish but I would like to hear from you guys on the subject.

suggests, certian springs or valves etc.

remember 75lb/min turbo reving to 9000k on some weekends.

Thanks

p.s. I have a eagle wiseco bottom end setup.

9,000,000 is a pretty damn high rev LOL

9k is more reasonable LOL... i would think you would be fine with some good springs and a good port job

There's been many people that have gotten away with turning 8,500-9,000 on the stock head.. So any decent aftermarket spring kit and valves should be good. 272 cams and off you go.

9K is a good limit, there's no reason to take the motor up there if you don't have a SMIM (I personally like the AMS unit, but the one Jim builds (JM Fab) is pretty awesome too. There are different combo's that work well. You won't need anything really special (meaning parts that aren't available off the shelf). A good single valve spring with titanium retainers will do. 1mm oversized valves are cool, but not NEEDED. I assume your putting together a 1g head, so nothing special with the P/P either. Have them clean up the casting flaws and blend the bowls. Polishing the combustion chambers and exhaust side will help. You'll notice a nice increase with some 272's but you'll be running out of steam with them before 9K. What turbine wheel and housing are you using?
